You know, I thought things were at least going okay for me. They're not, so I turn to this for venting.
I left for Canada 2 weeks ago thinking everything was okay with Annie, but apparently shit was so bad she had to go cheat on me and give me the pleasure of catching her in the act Joey Greco style upon my return.
She wanted to be friends and kept telling me she loved me. Obviously false given her actions, so after digging it out one last time I did all I could to make sure she'd stop bothering me about us still being friends. Of course she probably thinks she reached this conclusion herself.
I let her drag me away from a lot of stuff I liked such as hardcore, moshing, and good friends. Her insanity drove me pretty crazy for a hot minute. She's not my problem any more, however.
Roll out.

I'm settled in the city. I moved all my stuff into the house today, I'll finish the rest of the stuff later. Back yard, an actual kitchen, a possible basement, attic for botany experiments... Yeah it's looking good.
I'll be back on XBL soon once I call Comcast. GT: Evantegrity. I'll be all up in your ass for Gears of War 2.
Street Fighter 4 is coming out soon. I definitely need to get a new controller just for that. I've paid as little attention as possible to SF4 so I can just jump in without any bloated expectations. SHORYUKEN!
Now that I live in the city I kind of realize how few friends I actually have. I've never played well with others but it really shows now, haha. Oh well I guess that means I get to befriend lots of lonely art school girls ^_^

Good weekend.
I didn't go to Dude Fest this year. I just wasn't into the 3 day thing (and the 4 bands I wanted to see playing across all 3 days) and I can never find a solid person to let myself and others crash for the night. Brian said it was fun and he got to talk to Chris Dodge, which is pretty fuckin cool.
I've been listening to Trapped Under Ice a lot. I think the lyrics are dumb as hell - let's face it, they should be called Trapped Under Vanilla Ice since I doubt those dudes are "fighting and stealing" to stay alive - but it's undeniable because of how well it's written. Can't wait to see them with Terror.

Life is at its current best right now. Loving partner, okay job, never-ending spice packs, functioning band, and I've been doing well in school.

I think it was Chuck Palahniuk who once wrote "After you hit rock bottom, the only place you can go is up." As much as I dislike him, he hit the nail on the head with that one. I'm just glad I'm out of Champaign and living life on my own terms again.

This summer kinda sucked. I worked way too much.
...But rent and tuition won't be a concern for the next year.
I'm burnt-out on hardcore.
...But I'm getting a 9 month vacation from it anyways.
